MennoHomes recognizes the right of individuals to the protection of personal information and the need for information management practices that comply with Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), which came into effect on January 1, 2004.
The information MennoHomes collects is limited to those details necessary for identified purposes, is accurate and kept up-to-date, and is used only for the purpose for which it was collected.
The privacy of donors will be respected and donor records maintained by MennoHomes are protected with appropriate security safeguards. A donor’s wishes with respect to the frequency of solicitations, or the form that solicitations take, will be respected. Donor requests to remain anonymous will similarly be respected.
